About the Role
Director of Operations
Ready to build and scale the operational backbone for a global pioneer in power quality and energy monitoring? As our North American expansion accelerates, we are hiring a strategic, hands-on Director of Operations to drive delivery, optimize processes, and build a world-class execution engine.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will lead our Project & Program Management, Business Analysis, and Field Services teams. Working across Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Product, you will turn rapid growth into scalable operation, leveraging data to streamline customer project delivery and on-site field execution.

Location: Remote (hybrid preferred if local to Northern Virginia)
Schedule: Eastern Standard Time
Compensation: $160,000 - $200,000 base with a 20% target annual bonus
Responsibilities
Operational Strategy & Team Leadership
Strategic Execution: Develop and execute an operational strategy aligned with core business goals, building scalable processes to manage growth and mitigate operational risk.
Team Development & Succession: Lead, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams across Project Management, Program Management, and Field Services—fostering high accountability and building leadership depth for organizational resiliency and future executive succession.
Workforce & Performance Alignment: Partner with executive leadership on workforce planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives that elevate team productivity and customer satisfaction.
Project Management Office (PMO)
Standardization & Governance: Lead the Project Management team driving customer implementations and internal strategic initiatives, establishing standardized methodologies, governance, documentation, and executive reporting.
On-Time, In-Scope Delivery: Improve project visibility through milestone tracking and resource planning to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Cross-Functional Handoffs: Partner with Sales and Engineering to streamline project handoffs and customer onboarding.
Business Process Improvement & Automation
Process Excellence & Automation: Oversee the Business Analysis function to evaluate workflows, champion Lean/continuous improvement methodologies, and eliminate manual effort through smart automation.
Systems Optimization: Maximize the performance and utilization of enterprise systems (ERP, CRM) to increase efficiency and elevate the customer experience.
Data Analytics & Performance Management
Executive Dashboards & Forecasting: Build operational dashboards and leverage business analytics to refine forecasting and drive data-backed decision-making.
KPI Tracking: Monitor, manage, and present key operational metrics to executive leadership—including project completion rates, customer satisfaction, process efficiency, and supplier performance.
Global & Cross-Functional Alignment
Unified Execution: Partner seamlessly across Sales, Engineering, Finance, Customer Support, Logistics/Warehouse, Executive Leadership, and global headquarters to ensure tight organizational alignment.
Requirements
Baseline Requirements
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field, backed by 8–12 years of progressive operations leadership experience—including 5+ years directly leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple operational functions simultaneously.
PMO & Process Excellence: Strong working knowledge of project management methodologies with a proven track record of leading organizational process improvements.
Systems & Analytics: Hands-on experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, and operational reporting, supported by strong analytical and financial acumen.
Leadership & Executive Presence: Excellent communication and executive presentation skills with a history of building and coaching high-performing teams.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel up to 35% (including visits to Ashburn, VA, and global headquarters).
What Will Make You Stand Out
Domain & Technical Context: Experience within manufacturing, industrial technology, electrical equipment, automation, or energy management industries, with direct exposure to supporting technical product organizations.
Certifications: PMP certification.
Global Exposure: Prior experience working with international organizations.
